I had some difficulties with this as *brandrificus has been one of my great idols on dA since I joined, so I was completely overawed and nervous as hell about working with her - most of the technical stuff on this image is hers, I really just did a bit of cutting out, etc. I really can't compete or compare with such an outstanding photomanipulator!
But the good thing is that I learned some great techniques - thanks to Brandy for sharing her knowledge and giving her time
Inspiration:
"Meant to Live" by Switchfoot (changed the "his" to "hers")
"Fumbling her confidence And wondering why the world Has passed her by Hoping that she's bid for More than arguments And failed attempts To fly,
Fly
We were meant to live for so much more Have we lost ourselves? Somewhere we live inside"
This is beautiful! A very breathtaking piece with lots of movement! Props to you and Brandy!
Personally I can't see anything wrong with this piece although there is one thing that catches my eye...
The ball-and-chain on her leg is a little confusing - it isn't fully attached but it doesn't look like its really falling away from her either. The quickest and easiest way to do this would be to move the ball/chain down just a bit so the bolt isn't touching her leg. However, its also missing the other side of the clasp. If you duplicate the circular clasp-part of the chain and flip it around so its flying off the other side of her foot (minus the bolts), I think it would look much more believable.
Besides that this is perfect! Fantastic work the both of you
