On Friday afternoon my husband and I went out and about around the local area and took some photos mainly of old, derelict houses - of which there are very many in this little, old town where we live.
The area, consisting of 4 small towns: Ibi, Castalla, Onil and Tibi is a valley enclosed by mountains - it is called The Castalla Valley - Castalla is the main town purely because it is the only one of the four that has a castle. Ibi is the largest and Tibi the smallest.
I have mentioned before about the lack of colour - certainly in this region of Spain - during Autumn, and I think these photos show that well - everything is still green. The main difference in colour between Spain and the UK in the summer is that Spain has few varieties of green - as most of the trees are pine, it is very green, but not many shades - as opposed to the UK that has every shade of green known to man!
Well, these images were taken on the road from Castalla to Ibi - I think they would all come under the address of Castalla, but hopefully will be forgiven if not

I hope you at least enjoy looking at them, even if you have no use for them - a little taste of the kind of situation I live in - probably very different from where most of you live!!!
Thanks for looking
I have lived here nearly 6 years and I make a great effort not to take my surroundings for granted - nature supplies so much eye-candy!!
